Office Duty
Students learn phone etiquette in order to be on phone duty. They eat their lunch at the office, answer the phones, greet visitors and relay messages as required.
AMA Safety Patrollers
At Belmead School students participate in the AMA School Safety Patrollers program. The Belmead AMA Student Patrollers are responsible for instructing, directing, and controlling the safe passage of Belmead students at two crosswalks three times a day. They do a great job!
Interaction Buddies
Student volunteer to be play buddies to Interactions students at recess time. They provide role models for social behavior by playing with a younger friend and showing them how to have fun at recess.
Student Leadership
Students meet once or twice a month to plan activities for the school. These might be fun days, dances, special lunches or fundraising activities. These are responsible students who take a leadership role in the school by setting a good example in their own interactions. They are also responsible for being the Master of Ceremonies for each of the monthly assemblies.
Sports Leadership
The Sports Leadership team finds out what sports students are interested in. They make teams, schedules and organize the refereeing of each game.
Media Club
These students use the digital camera throughout the month taking pictures of events that are happening or just the day to day happenings. They use the pictures to create a slide show to be shown as monthly assemblies.
Library Club
Students stay in at recess time to assist with shelving of library books.
Announcers Club
Students give the morning announcements over the intercom, complete with O Canada, birthday messages and the events for the day.
Belmead Running Team
The Belmead Running Team competes in the Journal Games relay race in February as well as other cross country events that are held throughout the year.
Book Club
Student who love to read and discuss books are part of a book club that meets once a week to read and then celebrates when they finish reading the book by have a discussion party and refreshments.
